If you plan on camping on site at the Clay County Fairground Campgrounds for the Schmidt Reunion on July 30-31, here are a few important details to know.
Says Jeremy Parsons, director of the fairgrounds:
The campgrounds are open anytime. Campers can arrive whenever they like and stay as long as they like.
We will be placing all of the Schmidt Reunion campers in the Livestock Exhibitor Camping, which is in the northwest corner of the fairgrounds. There are 80 spots with electric and water. If that overflows, there are several other camping locations throughout the fairgrounds (electric only).
No need to worry about limited space: there are a total of 430 campground spots on site ranging across 15 acres. The rate for spots with electricity is $24, and the rate for spots without electricity is $12. The Clay County Fairground Campgrounds are located at 1401 4th Ave. W., Spencer, Iowa 51301.
