Katie Kelley Meyer officially began selling Dipsy Daisy dip mixes in the late spring/early summer of 2011 at the Spencer Farmer’s Market. Prior to this Dipsy Daisy was just an idea percolating on the back burner of life and a couple of spice blends that Katie used for her family (primarily the Taco Seasoning, Ranch Dip, and Crazy Chicken Rub).

When Katie found herself between jobs at the beginning of May, her ever supportive husband suggested that it might be the perfect time to do something with her “pretend business”. This motivated Katie to go to the “Secret Lair” to come up with a couple more products. Katie spent the summer primarily going to the Farmer’s Market which led to Spencer’s Main Street Market which led to the Hiney Wine Festival in October. The fall and pre-holiday season were spent travelling around Iowa – including Sanborn, Sheldon, Milford, Lake Park, Ida Grove, Carroll, West Bend, Emmetsburg and even Minnesota a couple of times going to craft/vendor shows.

Tipsy Daisy was launched in the winter of 2012 and has been very well received by customers. Katie states “I feel incredibly blessed having been able to accomplish so much in this business so far and know that this dream of mine would not have possible without some very helpful and influential people along the way”. Katie is amazed by the support of fellow crafters and shop owners and have have made some very good friends along the way.

“I look forward to what I can bring you in the future and feel luck to be doing something that I feel so passionate about. I love coming up with new and inventive ways to use my products and always look forward to sharing those ideas with my customers. I promise to continue to offer the best possible products for you to share with your friends and family.”
