Denise is the daughter of Marvin Lindemann, granddaughter of Carl Lindemann, great granddaughter of Lizzie (Schmidt) Lindemann, 2xgreat granddaughter of Conrad Schmidt, 3xgreat granddaughter of Dietrich Schmidt Sr., 4xgreat granddaughter of Friedrich Schmidt, 5xgreat granddaughter of Johannes Schmidt Jr., 6xgreat granddaughter of Johannes Schmidt Sr., 7xgreat granddaughter of Hans Heinrich Schmidt, and 8xgreat granddaughter of Hans Schmidt.
Siblings, Henry John Schmidt (1904-1974) and Anna Margaret Schmidt (1902-1983) (after marriage to take on the last name Krug).
Henry and Anna were two of the children of Georg Karl Schmidt and Anna Margaretha “Maggie” (Lindemann) Schmidt. Henry and Anna were the grandchildren of Dietrich Schmidt Jr., great grandchildren of Dietrich Schmidt Sr., 2xgreat grandchildren of Friedrich Schmidt, 3xgreat grandchildren of Johannes Schmidt Jr., 4xgreat grandchildren of Johannes Schmidt Sr., 5xgreat grandchildren of Hans Heinrich Schmidt, and 6xgreat grandchildren of Hans Schmidt.

In this photograph, on the far left is Martha Elisabeth (Lindemann) Schmidt (1837-1923), the widow of Conrad Jacob Schmidt (1841-1891).
The identity of the boy in the middle is currently unknown.
The identity of the man on the right is also currently unknown–possibly Martha’s son, Herman Schmidt?

These Schmidt/Lindemann children were photographed in July 1937 at the 50th wedding anniversary celebration of Mike & Lizzie (Schmidt) Lindemann, on the farm of their son Carl Lindemann, near Humboldt, Iowa.
The only faces identified with certainty are Marvin Lindemann (1934-Present) (on the far left of the front row), and Carol Lindemann (1929-2003) (on the far right of the back row).

John and Freddy Van Loh were nephews of Mike and Lizzie Lindemann. Mike and Lizzie raised John and Freddy Van Loh after they were orphaned.

The Lindeman/Lindemann boys were brothers. Chris and Bud Schmidt were brothers. The two groups of brothers were first cousins of one another. Photo was taken at the 50th wedding anniversary party of Mike and Lizzie Lindemann, held on their son Carl Lindemann’s farm near Humboldt, Iowa in July 1937.

John A. Lindeman (1870-1933) of Vinton, Iowa, and his first cousin once removed Georg Karl “Chas” Schmidt (1864-1933) of West Bend, Iowa.
John was also a first cousin of Karl’s wife, Maggie (Lindemann) Schmidt. Karl lived for several years in the Vinton area after he first immigrated to America in the 1880s.
This photo was taken in Humboldt, Iowa at the farm of Mike Lindemann (John’s first cousin, and Karl’s brother-in-law).
