With sadness we report that our cousin, Mary Jane (Jergens) Hanselman (1935-2015), has passed away.
Jane was born on April 9th, 1935, the daughter of Howard and Emaline (Walsh) Jergens. She married Richard Harvey Hanselman on October 24th, 1959. He preceded her in death earlier this year. Jane and Richard had four children: Patricia (Mrs. Jon McCuskey), Bruce (husband of Nicole Faith), Barb (Mrs. Jeff Schmidt), and Karla (Mrs. Mark Schmidt). She also leaves behind many siblings and grandchildren.
Jane was the daughter of Howard Jergens, granddaughter of Anna (Schmidt) Jergens, great granddaughter of Conrad Schmidt, 2xgreat granddaughter of Dietrich Schmidt Sr., 3xgreat granddaughter of Johann Friedrich Schmidt, 4xgreat granddaughter of Johannes Schmidt Jr., 5xgreat granddaughter of Johannes Schmidt Sr., and 6xgreat granddaughter of Hans Heinrich Schmidt.
The funeral for our cousin, Mary Jane (Jergens) Hanselman (1935-2015), who passed away yesterday, will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 23rd, at Peace Lutheran Church, West Bend, Iowa, with burial to follow in the West Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Friday at the church.
